Detailed Review
The Seltomer Aquarium Siphon Vacuum Cleaner is a manual water changing and substrate cleaning tool designed for routine fish tank care. It helps aquarium owners clear out uneaten food, fish waste, and cloudy water without needing electrical power.
Water flow starts by pinching the elastic siphon ball several times. Once the siphon engages, water drains continuously on its own, leaving your hands free to direct the cleaning tube. The sinkable gravel tube includes an internal detachable filter screen, which helps prevent fish from being disturbed or harmed during the cleaning process.
Connecting the tube to the drainage point is a 6-foot clear plastic hose. The plastic is resilient and kink-resistant, and it is harmless to fish with no peculiar smell. The short three-month warranty provides a free replacement or refund for quality issues, though buyers with larger setups should ensure the 6-foot hose length provides sufficient reach to their drainage bucket.
Verdict: The Seltomer Gravel Cleaner is a solid choice for aquarium owners seeking a simple, non-electric tool for routine water changes and waste removal. It offers reliable manual operation with built-in fish protection.
