American Lawn Mower Company 1304-14 14-Inch 5-Blade Push Reel Lawn Mower

The American Lawn Mower Company 1304-14 is a classic walk-behind push reel mower designed for simple, quiet yard care. It provides a purely mechanical trimming solution for homeowners who want to maintain their grass without dealing with gasoline, exhaust fumes, or engine noise.

Equipped with a 5-blade reel made from heat-treated alloy steel, the mower uses a scissor action cut designed to stay sharp across years of use. It features a 14-inch cutting width and rolls on durable 10-inch polymer wheels, which keep the unit lightweight and easy to maneuver around landscaping and tight corners. You can also customize your trim height between 1 inch and 2.25 inches using the adjustable blade settings.

As a manual reel mower, it has clear operational limits. The design handles grass up to 4 inches tall, meaning overgrown lawns will require extra attention or frequent maintenance before mowing. The 14-inch path also means taking more passes to cover larger open spaces compared to wider units, and all cutting power relies entirely on your physical pushing effort.

Verdict: The American Lawn Mower Company 1304-14 is a dependable, low-maintenance option for anyone seeking an eco-friendly way to cut grass. It is ideal for shoppers with smaller yards who keep their grass under 4 inches and want a quiet, pollution-free mowing routine.
