EGO Power+ Electric Riding Lawn Mower, 42" Deck Lawn Tractor - TR4204

The EGO Power+ TR4204 is a battery-powered riding lawn tractor designed for homeowners who want gas-like cutting strength without engine maintenance. Powered by up to six 56V ARC Lithium batteries, it produces up to 20,000 watts of output to match the performance of a 21-horsepower gas engine while maintaining properties up to 1.5 acres on a single charge.

Daily operation centers around practical digital controls and a durable build. The dashboard LCD screen lets you tailor your mowing with three blade settings, three driving speeds up to 6 MPH, and cruise control. Beneath the machine, a 42-inch stamped steel deck relies on dual brushless cutting motors. Because it operates without belts, it minimizes traditional wear points and mechanical maintenance. You can also adjust grass height precisely using 12 positions spanning 1.5 to 4.5 inches.

Utility extends beyond standard mowing thanks to integrated hardware. A rear tow hitch allows you to pull yard carts and accessories around the property. Built-in LED headlights support work in low-light conditions, while Bluetooth connectivity and an onboard USB port keep mobile devices charged and connected during yard work.

There are some boundaries to plan around based on the tractor specifications. The 1.5-acre cutting range per charge with the six included 6.0Ah batteries means properties larger than that will require recharging or extra batteries. Managing and charging a full set of six batteries also requires dedicated charging routines compared to simply topping off a single fuel tank.

Verdict: The TR4204 is an ideal choice for property owners managing up to 1.5 acres who want belt-free electric cutting, robust towing utility, and the peace of mind that comes with a 5-year tool warranty.
