EGO ZT4204L 56-Volt 42-Inch Z6 Zero Turn Riding Mower with Peak Power

The EGO ZT4204L Z6 Zero Turn Riding Mower is a battery-powered 42-inch lawn tractor designed for homeowners looking to maintain large properties without gas engines. It relies on Peak Power technology to combine up to six 56V ARC Lithium batteries, generating output equivalent to a 22-horsepower gas engine. This setup handles routine yard maintenance across varied turf conditions while eliminating the need to store fuel or perform oil changes.

Driving performance is powered by four independent brushless motors. Operators can select between Control, Standard, and Sport driving modes, tailoring the handling to their comfort level. The mower operates at cutting speeds between 3 and 7 MPH, with a top speed of 8 MPH when switched into travel mode. An integrated user interface allows for direct adjustments to customize how the machine handles across your property.

Cutting versatility is supported by a 3-in-1 deck system that handles side-discharge, bagging, or mulching. To achieve your desired grass height, the deck features 10 position adjustments ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 inches. The bundle comes ready to tackle properties up to 2 acres on a single charge using the four included 10.0Ah batteries, and it also includes two additional 5.0Ah batteries. Because the battery system is fully expandable, owners can insert more packs to mow larger areas of three, four, or five acres.

When considering trade-offs, managing a multi-battery setup requires keeping track of several individual packs. While the machine handles up to 2 acres out of the box with the four 10.0Ah batteries, mowing significantly larger areas requires purchasing additional compatible 56V batteries.

Verdict: The EGO ZT4204L is an excellent fit for property owners with 2 or more acres who want zero-turn maneuverability and gas-equivalent power. It delivers dependable cutting performance, customizable drive settings, and flexible battery expansion.
