Detailed Review
The Gerber Suspension NXT EDC Multitool combines utility and portability into a stainless steel frame built for daily chores, camping, and trade work. It addresses the hassle of carrying separate tools by packing needle nose pliers, wire cutters, and screwdrivers into a single butterfly-opening design.
Hardware functionality centers on the folding plier head, paired with both plain edge and serrated knife blades. For general adjustments and repairs, it integrates a cross driver, a flat head screwdriver, and trimming scissors. Cans and bottles are handled by dedicated openers, while an internal locking mechanism ensures individual components stay rigid during use.
Carrying the tool is straightforward thanks to its 1 by 4 by 6-inch profile and 9.6-ounce weight. You can slip it into work wear, secure it via the built-in lanyard hole, or store it in the provided protective sheath to keep it accessible in a toolbox or hiking pack.
One noticeable discrepancy in the product information is that the title references a 15-in-1 tool while the detailed feature list describes it as a 12-in-1 multi-plier. At 9.6 ounces, it also adds noticeable heft if carried loose in lightweight apparel.
Verdict: This Gerber multitool suits tradesmen, campers, and hunters needing a dependable stainless steel folding plier set with essential drivers and cutting implements. Its locking design and included sheath make it a solid addition to your everyday gear.
