Greenworks C30Z Wire-Free Robotic Lawn Mower, up to 3/4 Acre, RTKVision Navigation,

The Greenworks C30Z Robotic Lawn Mower delivers automated yard care for properties up to 3/4 acre without the hassle of physical boundary wires. It uses RTKVision navigation, pairing RTK satellite positioning with camera vision to achieve 1-inch cutting accuracy. This setup maintains a reliable signal under tree canopies and through narrow pathways, giving homeowners a systematic cut across their entire lawn.

Mobility is handled by a 2-wheel drive system capable of conquering 45 percent (24 degree) slopes, gravel paths, and uneven surfaces. Cutting height adjusts electronically between 0.75 and 3.5 inches with the push of a button, letting you customize lawn length for specific zones directly from the smart app or the onboard LCD screen. For close border trimming, it supports edge mowing within 4 inches of boundaries.

Safety and obstacle avoidance rely on a Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera paired with AI recognition. The system recognizes and avoids more than 200 common yard obstacles, such as toys and fallen branches, while detecting pets up to 16 feet away. Through the companion app, users can create virtual maps, set zone-specific mowing routines, check real-time status updates, and view integrated weather forecasts. The mower is supported by 24/7 online service and a 3-year warranty.

While the C30Z handles steep inclines, it uses a 2-wheel drive configuration rather than all-wheel drive, which may affect handling on very loose ground. Its continuous maintenance area is also capped at 3/4 acre, making it unsuitable for larger acreages. Additionally, the listing does not mention specific battery runtimes or recharge speeds.

Verdict: The Greenworks C30Z is a solid choice for homeowners with lawns up to 3/4 acre who want a wire-free mower that handles steep slopes and avoids everyday yard obstacles. It is especially suited for yards with multiple distinct zones and varying grass height preferences.
