Detailed Review
The VORTEXTOVE Heavy Duty Tow-Behind Broadcast Spreader is built for property owners and groundskeepers who need to distribute lawn and farm materials across broad areas. Designed to hook directly to a towing vehicle, it removes the physical strain of carrying or pushing heavy spreaders across large yards, gardens, or agricultural spaces.
Capacity and control are central to this design. The rustproof poly hopper holds up to 130 pounds, minimizing stops for refills. To manage output accurately, a 30-level adjustable flow control lets you dial in the exact volume required for seed, fertilizer, sand, or ice melt. As you move, it broadcasts material across a swath of up to 10 feet wide for fast coverage.
The spreader is designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions. It features a powder-coated steel frame and comes with a waterproof cover to shield contents from moisture. Mobility over rough lawn surfaces or gravel is handled by 10-inch pneumatic tires that provide stable traction. With its universal hitch, the unit attaches to standard lawn tractors, ATVs, and UTVs for residential or commercial tasks.
Because this is strictly a tow-behind model, it requires an ATV, UTV, or tractor to use and cannot be converted for walk-behind operation. Buyers with very small yards or tight garden beds might find maneuvering a towed implement cumbersome compared to a handheld or push model.
Verdict: This tow-behind spreader is a capable pick for anyone maintaining large grounds with a tractor, ATV, or UTV. Its 130-pound capacity, wide spread range, and all-weather materials make it a dependable workhorse for seasonal lawn care and winter maintenance.
