Hooyman ATV Seeder with 125 lb Hopper, Universal Mounting System, and Seed

The Hooyman ATV Seeder is a vehicle-mounted spreader built to broadcast seed, fertilizer, and other granular materials over large plots. Designed for utility vehicles, it mounts directly to any truck, ATV, UTV, or Side-by-Side equipped with a standard 2-inch hitch receiver and secures with two included buckle straps.

Capacity and distribution control are central to this unit. The hopper holds up to 125 pounds (over 16 gallons), which accommodates a wide range of materials from fine clover seed and corn to lime and ice melt. Built-in adjustment knobs allow you to set the throwing disc speed, giving you control over spreading distance up to 30 feet. An independent open/close flow control lever helps stop product flow between passes to eliminate wasted seed, while a built-in media level indicator window lets you check your remaining load at a glance.

To ensure proper clearance and distribution across different vehicle types, the hitch mount offers 12 inches of vertical height adjustment. This lets you raise or lower the spreader to your preferred throwing level regardless of whether it is attached to a low-riding ATV or a taller truck.

Keep in mind that this seeder relies strictly on a 2-inch hitch mount and vehicle power, making it unsuitable for manual push spreading or vehicles lacking a standard receiver hitch.

Verdict: The Hooyman ATV Seeder is a practical choice for landowners who need to distribute seed, fertilizer, or ice melt from a vehicle. Its 125-pound capacity, adjustable 30-foot throw, and height-adjustable mount make broad coverage straightforward.
