Detailed Review
The HORUSDY 4-Piece Telescoping Magnetic Pickup Tool Set is designed to solve the common frustration of dropped hardware and small metal parts in hard-to-reach spaces. Whether a screw falls behind a workbench or a small tool drops into an engine bay, this collection provides multiple reach and strength options to quickly retrieve metallic items without disassembling surrounding equipment.
The set includes two straight telescoping tools with distinct capabilities. The heavy-duty wand collapses down to 7 inches and extends up to 30.5 inches, offering a strong magnetic head capable of lifting up to 15 pounds. For tighter spots and lighter tasks, the smaller stick adjusts from 5 inches to 25.4 inches and supports up to 1.5 pounds. Both extendable tools feature non-slip rubber grips to give you steady control when fishing for parts at full extension.
Rounding out the set are a 20-inch flexible magnetic retriever stick and a 3 by 3-inch round magnetic parts tray. The bendable stick can navigate around obstacles and through small or large holes to snag tools and fasteners weighing up to 1.5 pounds. Meanwhile, the magnetic tray provides a dedicated holding spot for small metal objects as you work, preventing parts from rolling away.
While the set covers a wide range of tasks, there are practical trade-offs to keep in mind. The flexible stick and smaller telescoping rod are limited to a 1.5-pound capacity, which is suited for screws, nuts, and small hand tools rather than heavy metal items. Additionally, the parts tray is relatively compact at 3 by 3 inches, and the product listing does not specify the specific metal alloys used in the telescoping shafts.
Verdict: The HORUSDY 4-Piece Magnetic Pickup Set is an excellent addition for mechanics, DIYers, and hobbyists who need versatile retrieval tools for lost hardware. With its combination of strong extension rods, a flexible bendable stick, and a magnetic dish, it provides a comprehensive solution for clearing out tight spaces.
