Detailed Review
The Mishimoto MMHOSE-VET-97RD Silicone Radiator Hose Kit is a dedicated cooling upgrade designed specifically for 1994-2004 Chevrolet C5 Corvette and Z06 sports cars. It replaces stock factory coolant lines with durable silicone construction, making it an ideal option for drivers looking to refresh aging engine bay hoses.
Built from high-grade silicone, these hoses feature embedded heat-resistant fibers that allow the assembly to withstand maximum temperatures of up to 330 degrees Fahrenheit. The set includes two distinct hoses sized for factory fittings: Hose 1 features a 1.26-inch inner diameter and a 1.65-inch outer diameter, while Hose 2 measures 1.50 inches and 1.26 inches on the inside with outer diameters of 1.89 inches and 1.65 inches.
A clear limitation is vehicle compatibility, as this kit is engineered exclusively for the 1994-2004 C5 Corvette platform and will not fit other generations. Additionally, the product specifications do not state whether installation hardware or hose clamps are included in the package, so buyers may need to check their existing mounting hardware.
Verdict: This hose kit is a solid, direct-fit replacement for 1994-2004 Chevrolet C5 Corvette and Z06 owners seeking high-temperature silicone cooling lines backed by a lifetime warranty.
