Pocket Hose Ballistic Double UV Edition 100 FT Expandable Garden Hose w/Pocket

The Pocket Hose Ballistic Double UV Edition 100 FT is an expandable garden hose designed to make everyday watering manageable without wrestling heavy, rigid rubber. It solves the frustration of tangled lines and bulky storage by stretching up to three times its base length when filled with water, then draining down for compact, bone-dry storage.

Durability centers on a multi-layer design built for yard work. The exterior sleeve incorporates double UV protection to resist sun exposure season after season. To prevent punctures and tears from dragging across rough surfaces, the outer jacket is reinforced with liquid crystal polymer strands, a material used in bulletproof applications that provides high tensile strength compared to steel.

Water flow and connection security receive equal attention. Inside, a three-layer latex core holds water pressure, supported by thicker re-engineered washers and APT connector protectors to prevent dripping. Solid lead-free connectors infused with real copper provide secure spigot attachment, while a built-in Pocket Pivot connector rotates 360 degrees to stop snags and kinks right at the source.

Keep in mind that expandable hoses depend on active water pressure to maintain their full 100-foot reach and 3/4-inch diameter, so low-pressure sources may limit extension. Additionally, while the reinforcement strand is exceptionally strong, the rating applies specifically to the reinforcement fiber rather than the entire hose assembly.

Verdict: The Pocket Hose Ballistic Double UV Edition is ideal for homeowners who need a long 100-foot reach but want lightweight, kink-free handling and compact storage. Its reinforced build and UV protection make it a dependable choice for regular lawn and garden care.
