SOLO 425 4-Gallon Piston Backpack Sprayer, Wide Pressure Range up to 90

The SOLO 425 4-Gallon Piston Backpack Sprayer is designed to handle liquid disinfectants, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides for treating trees, shrubs, and garden plants. Built around a high-performance piston pump capable of producing pressures up to 90 psi, it provides the steady output needed to cover larger outdoor spaces or landscape beds without carrying a handheld tank.

For everyday application, the sprayer pairs a 20-inch unbreakable wand with a 48-inch nylon-reinforced high-pressure hose, giving you plenty of extended reach. It comes with four commercial-grade nozzles, including a plastic adjustable, fan spray, hollow cone, and jet stream nozzle, and it is fully TeeJet compatible for additional nozzle options. A lockable commercial shut-off valve holds securely in either the on or off position to minimize hand strain during extended spraying sessions.

The build emphasizes durability and convenience with a rugged metal frame and an extra-large tank opening that makes filling and cleaning fast. Long service life is supported by Viton seals installed in critical areas, and the pump handle can be positioned for left- or right-hand operation depending on your preference.

As a manual backpack unit, keeping pressure at the 90 psi maximum requires ongoing physical pumping, and a full 4-gallon liquid load will add significant weight to your back. The product specifications also do not list the empty weight of the unit or harness padding details.

Verdict: The SOLO 425 is a dependable, adaptable choice for property owners and landscapers who need a high-pressure manual sprayer with versatile nozzle options. If you want a durable 4-gallon backpack sprayer with ambidextrous controls, it is well worth considering.
