Spectracide Fire Ant Shield Yard Protection Granules 10 Pounds

Spectracide Fire Ant Shield Yard Protection Granules offer an outdoor insect control solution designed to eliminate active fire ant mounds and keep new ones from appearing. This 10-pound bag is made for homeowners dealing with pests in their outdoor spaces, providing a targeted defense for lawns and areas right around house foundations.

The formula works quickly by starting to kill insects in minutes, reaching both the fire ant queen and the rest of the colony. In addition to rapid knockdown, it delivers season-long control, protecting your yard against red imported fire ants for up to 3 months. It also handles a wide variety of other common lawn pests, including fleas, ticks, crickets, chinch bugs, armyworms, billbugs, cutworms, earwigs, roaches, grubs, and sod webworms.

Because it comes in granular form, you will need outdoor equipment to spread it, though the product listing does not state the exact square footage a 10-pound bag covers or specify application tools. It is also strictly formulated for outdoor perimeter and lawn use, meaning it cannot be used for indoor infestations.

Verdict: Spectracide Fire Ant Shield Granules are a dependable option for anyone needing fast-acting, multi-month protection against red imported fire ants and other yard pests. It is an ideal pick if you want to treat your lawn perimeter and wipe out stubborn ant colonies down to the queen.
