SpringHose Boat Washdown Hose with Nozzle, 3/8-in x 15-ft, Blue

The Plastair SpringHose Boat Washdown Hose provides a compact, tangle-free watering setup for marine decks, docks, and outdoor spaces. Built with a permanent coiled profile, this 15-foot hose stretches out during use and automatically retracts to its original compact form when released. It directly addresses the frustration of tripping over loose lines or manually winding up bulky conventional hoses on crowded boats.

Material durability is central to its design. Constructed from polyurethane, the hose withstands both hot and cold outdoor temperatures without kinking, twisting, or drying out under harsh UV rays. For marine utility, the 3/4-inch male and female connections use hardened nylon instead of metal to prevent saltwater corrosion. The fittings also feature a large inner orifice to deliver full water flow straight from standard faucets.

Safety and versatility are also well covered. The hose meets California CA65 standards, delivering clean water free from lead and phthalates so you can use it for fresh drinking water. It also includes an adjustable nozzle with seven distinct spray patterns, including Jet, Shower, Flat, Center, Cone, Full, and Mist, giving you the right spray for everything from rinsing gear to light misting.

Keep in mind that the coiled construction stretches to over 80 percent of its 15-foot advertised length during regular use. If you need to cover long distances across large vessels or yards, this 3/8-inch diameter hose may be too short. Additionally, the listing does not state whether it includes quick-connect adapters or a mounting bracket.

Verdict: The Plastair SpringHose is a smart, space-conscious choice for boaters and dock owners who need a durable, saltwater-ready rinse hose. Its self-coiling polyurethane body and drinking-water safety make it ideal for marine washdowns without deck clutter.
