Detailed Review
STA-BIL In-Season Protection Fuel System Treatment is a targeted fluid additive designed to clean vital fuel components and maintain fuel quality. It serves equipment owners and drivers who want to clear out buildup and protect against corrosion caused by moisture and ethanol-blended fuels.
The formula works through the entire fuel delivery pathway, cleaning fuel injectors and fuel pumps while stripping away gum, varnish, and water. Beyond cleaning, it acts as a fuel stabilizer that prevents corrosion and preserves ethanol fuels for up to 12 months. It also functions to support engine power and improve gas mileage by ensuring the fuel system stays clear.
Using the treatment is straightforward, though capacity is limited by the compact size. You pour the 4-ounce bottle directly into the tank before adding fuel, with one bottle formulated to treat 5 gallons. After pouring, you must run the engine for 5 minutes to circulate the additive throughout the system. Once opened, the bottle stays good for up to 2 years, with space on the back to record the opening date.
Verdict: STA-BIL In-Season Protection is a practical choice for anyone needing to clean injectors and stabilize small fuel capacities up to 5 gallons. It provides dependable multi-benefit fuel care in a compact, single-use size.
