Telesteps 1800EP Pro Series Wide Step Telescoping Extension Ladder – 14.5 ft

The Telesteps 1800EP Pro Series is a compact telescoping extension ladder built for professionals and homeowners who need serious vertical reach without hauling around a rigid, oversized frame. By offering a 14.5-foot extended length that delivers up to an 18-foot reach, it provides access to commercial roofs, tall exterior walls, and overhead maintenance areas while remaining remarkably portable.

Standing on narrow rungs for long shifts can quickly cause foot strain, which is why this model incorporates 3.375-inch wide-step rungs. These wider steps offer solid footing for contractors working extended hours on a project. Built from aircraft-grade aluminum, the frame carries a Type 1A rating that supports up to 300 pounds, easily handling a worker alongside heavy tools and materials.

Deploying and packing away the ladder is straightforward thanks to a patented one-touch retraction mechanism. The system lets you extend and collapse the rungs with one hand, featuring smooth retraction controls engineered to stop sudden drops and protect your fingers from getting pinched. At the base, pivoting silicone feet self-adjust to maintain solid traction across slick or uneven surfaces, and the entire unit collapses to just 34 inches for easy transport in a standard vehicle.

While the compact 34-inch folded size makes storage convenient, the product data does not specify the total carrying weight of the unit. Additionally, those who require access beyond an 18-foot working reach will need a larger specialized setup.

Verdict: The Telesteps 1800EP Pro Series is an excellent choice for contractors, maintenance workers, and serious DIYers who need a sturdy 300-pound capacity ladder that packs down small. Its wide rungs and controlled one-touch retraction make it a dependable option for regular elevated work.
