Titan ControlMax 1650 18V Cordless HEA Paint Sprayer with Low Overspray

The Titan ControlMax 1650 18V is an airless cordless paint sprayer designed for serious DIY enthusiasts, handymen, and general contractors who need portable coverage. Built to apply paint and stain up to three times faster than a standard manual roller, it handles medium to large tasks such as outbuildings, playground structures, and field markings without requiring access to an electrical outlet.

Cordless freedom is the core benefit here. Powered by an 18V system, each included 2Ah battery delivers enough runtime to spray up to 350 square feet. Because the kit comes with two batteries and a charger compatible with the AmpShare Powered by Bosch platform, you can keep work moving. The sprayer also utilizes High Efficiency Airless (HEA) technology, which reduces overspray by up to 55% while producing a softer spray pattern for improved control and a consistent finish.

Jobsite versatility is built into the physical design. You can configure the unit as a backpack, carry it by hand, or set it stationary on the ground. A variable speed control dial lets you adjust output to match your coating, while the 9-foot hose features an integrated swivel and an onboard hose management system to prevent tangling during application. For added guidance, the free ControlMax companion app offers custom setting recommendations based on your exact paint and lets you store job records.

There are a few operational trade-offs to keep in mind. While cordless operation offers convenience, coverage is limited to roughly 350 square feet per charge, requiring battery swaps on large projects. Additionally, the 9-foot hose length means stationary use requires repositioning the base unit periodically when covering wide surfaces.

Verdict: The Titan ControlMax 1650 is a capable, highly portable solution for contractors and ambitious homeowners tackling mid-sized outdoor painting projects. If you need efficient cordless spraying with minimal overspray, this versatile system is well worth the investment.

A great fit if you:

• Need to paint sheds, playground structures, or field markings far from power outlets.
• Want airless application speed with significantly reduced overspray.
• Already use or plan to use AmpShare Powered by Bosch cordless tools.
• Prefer flexible carrying options like a backpack or stationary setup.

Consider something else if you:

• Work continuously on massive surfaces where swapping batteries every 350 square feet is inconvenient.
• Only paint small indoor crafts that do not justify an airless spray system.
