Detailed Review
The WORKPRO 20V 4-1/2" Cordless Mini Circular Saw is a compact cutting tool designed for DIYers, home workshops, and outdoor building tasks. Weighing just 4.36 pounds, it provides an alternative to bulky full-sized saws when cutting wood, tile, PVC, plastics, or soft metals.
Its 20-volt motor delivers a 4500 RPM no-load speed, while the adjustable base allows beveling between 0° and 45°. At 90 degrees, you get a maximum cutting depth of 1-11/16 inches, which reduces to 1-1/8 inches at 45 degrees. To help you maintain straight, accurate lines during edge cutting or framing, the tool features both an integrated laser and a parallel guide attachment.
Handling is centered on user comfort and safety. The ergonomic rubberized grip supports one-handed operation, and an integrated switch lock prevents accidental starts. For cleaner indoor work, the included dust extraction tube connects to standard vacuums via the adapter. Power comes from a 4.0Ah lithium-ion battery, which can be replenished in as little as 2 hours with the included 2.4A fast charger.
Because it uses a 4-1/2-inch blade size, cut capacity is naturally capped at 1-11/16 inches, meaning it cannot slice through thicker dimensional lumber in one pass. The kit also includes only one battery, so continuous workflow on larger jobs will depend on taking breaks to recharge.
Verdict: This compact cordless saw is an excellent fit for hobbyists, woodworkers, and DIY homeowners who need a manageable tool for trimming sheet goods, PVC, tile, and light framing. It delivers solid cutting versatility and precision guides without the heft of a standard circular saw.
