Detailed Review
The BEHT200 18-Inch Electric Hedge Trimmer is a lightweight, corded yard tool built for trimming small hedges and shrubs. Powered by a 3.5 amp motor, it is designed for homeowners who need a straightforward tool to maintain tidy garden borders without dealing with heavy equipment.
This trimmer uses hardened steel dual-action blades to cut through branches up to 5/8-inch thick. The dual-action blade movement helps reduce vibration during operation, making extended cutting tasks easier on your hands and arms.
Comfort features include a bulk-free frame, a built-in wrap-around handle, and a full-length trigger that supports a multi-finger grip. The corded setup delivers continuous runtime, while the integrated cord retention system keeps the extension cord securely connected so you do not accidentally pull the plug mid-cut.
Because it operates via a corded electric connection, your working area is limited by cord reach, and it requires access to an electrical outlet. It is also restricted to cutting shrubbery with branch diameters up to 5/8-inch, meaning thicker limbs will require larger tools.
Verdict: This trimmer is a reliable choice for anyone managing small shrubs and light yard trimming. Its reduced vibration, comfortable handle, and steady corded power make routine hedge maintenance manageable and efficient.
