Detailed Review
The CRAFTSMAN V20 Cordless Handheld Grass Trimmer (model CMCSS800) is a versatile 2-in-1 garden tool designed for light yard maintenance. It helps homeowners tidy up lawn edges, trim fescues, and shape small shrubs without the hassle of dragging out cords or heavy equipment.
This tool comes equipped with two distinct attachments: an 8-inch blade for trimming shrubs and a 4-inch blade for fescues and garden bed cleanup. Switching between tasks is quick thanks to the easy blade change design. The trimmer delivers precision cutting up to 5/16 inch deep, making it well-suited for detailed manicuring around your garden.
Powered by an included V20 1.5Ah lithium-ion battery (CMCB2015) and paired with a V20 charger, this cordless shear offers lightweight and smooth operation. However, the 5/16-inch cutting capacity means it is strictly built for smaller branches and soft growth rather than thick brush. The 1.5Ah battery also provides a compact power source designed for quick touch-ups rather than marathon landscaping sessions.
Verdict: The CRAFTSMAN V20 2-in-1 trimmer is a practical choice for gardeners looking for a lightweight, easy-to-swap tool for shaping bushes and edging beds. It provides everything you need in the box, backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
