20V 2-in-1 Pole Hedge Trimmer & Grass Shear, 14Ft, 2x4Ah Batteries

The YDLawn 20V 2-in-1 Pole Hedge Trimmer and Grass Shear is a convertible yard maintenance system designed for gardeners who need to handle both high hedges and ground-level trimming. It combines a 9-inch hedge trimmer blade with a dedicated grass shear blade, allowing you to swap functions based on the task. By pairing these interchangeable attachments with an extension pole, it solves the problem of having to manage multiple separate power tools for basic shrub and lawn shaping.

For overhead jobs, the included extension pole extends your reach up to 14 feet, letting you shape tall hedges and shrubs while standing on the ground. To help with awkward cuts, the trimmer head adjusts through 9 different rotating positions. This flexibility makes it simple to flatten hedge tops or sculpt vertical sides without straining your wrists.

Power comes from a 20V motor capable of 2800 RPM, giving you sufficient speed for clean cuts. The kit includes two 4.0Ah rechargeable batteries, which together offer up to 2 hours of continuous runtime. In handheld mode as a grass shear, the tool weighs only 3.5 lbs, making it easy to control for precise edging along garden beds.

When considering trade-offs, the hedge blade measures 9 inches, which is compact and best suited for smaller shrubs rather than wide, dense hedgerows. Additionally, while the handheld configuration is listed at 3.5 lbs, the total weight with the extension pole attached is not specified.

Verdict: This 2-in-1 tool is a practical choice for homeowners seeking a lightweight, versatile trimmer for general yard maintenance. If you need ladder-free overhead trimming alongside detail edging, this complete kit covers the essentials.
