EGO POWER+ Chain Saw, 16” Battery Powered Chainsaw, Electric Cordless, Includes 56V

The EGO POWER+ 16-Inch Cordless Chainsaw provides gas-like cutting capability without requiring mixed fuel. Powered by a high-efficiency brushless motor, it is built for homeowners and yard workers who need to slice through hardwood, soft wood, and fallen branches quickly and cleanly.

Performance centers around a brushless motor that matches the output of a 40cc gas engine, driving the 16-inch bar and chain at speeds up to 20 m/s. The chain features a 3/8-inch pitch, a 0.043-inch gauge, and 56 drive links, offering dependable precision for everyday yard maintenance. Included with the tool is a 56V 4.0Ah ARC Lithium battery capable of delivering up to 130 cuts on 4x4 lumber on a single charge, with full compatibility across other EGO 56V batteries.

Maintenance and handling are kept straightforward thanks to a tool-free tensioning dial. You can set proper chain tension with a quick twist instead of taking housing components apart. Additionally, the low-profile dial design allows the bar to make flush cuts near the ground, while an IPX4 weather-resistance rating ensures the saw handles wet outdoor working conditions.

As with any battery-operated tool, runtime is tied to battery capacity. The included 4.0Ah pack delivers up to 130 cuts on 4x4 material, meaning larger cutting sessions may require spare batteries. The product data also does not mention an included charger or specific oil tank capacity.

Verdict: This cordless chainsaw is a reliable choice for property owners who want gas-comparable power for trimming, storm cleanup, and wood cutting without managing gas and oil mixtures. It is well suited for anyone already invested in or starting with the EGO 56V battery platform.
