Husqvarna Special Edition Z242F (42") 21.5HP Kawasaki Zero Turn Mower

The Husqvarna Special Edition Z242F is a residential zero turn riding mower designed to tackle routine lawn care with speed and maneuverability. Built around a 21.5HP Kawasaki V-Twin engine, it provides dependable power for homeowners managing medium to large residential properties.

A standout element is the 42-inch fabricated, welded deck equipped with a two-blade cutting system. Unlike basic stamped decks, a fabricated steel build offers increased strength against impacts and wear over time. Power is routed smoothly to the wheels through Hydro-Gear EZT transmissions, giving you responsive zero-turn steering and precise control around landscaping obstacles.

For convenience during long mowing sessions, the mower features a 3.5-gallon fuel tank to keep you working without constant top-offs. The purchase also includes a 3-year consumer warranty covering manufacturer defects and mechanical reliability over multiple seasons.

Keep in mind that with a 42-inch cutting width and a two-blade setup, this model is built for agility rather than clearing massive acreage in record time. The product listing does not state whether it includes accessories such as a mulching kit or collection bagger, so you may need to source attachments separately.

Verdict: The Husqvarna Z242F is an excellent choice for property owners who need the durability of a fabricated deck paired with a proven Kawasaki engine. It offers solid commercial-grade design cues in a manageable residential size.
