Detailed Review
The Klein Tools 93LDM100C Compact Laser Distance Measure is a portable layout tool designed to quickly capture distance measurements from 2 inches up to 100 feet. It is built for tradespeople and DIYers who need fast, reliable dimensions without managing a traditional tape measure.
Operation is centered around a single button that controls full functionality. A simple press lets you capture a single distance or switch into continuous measurement mode to track distances in real time as you walk. The reverse contrast LCD screen keeps your numbers clearly visible even when working in low-light environments.
For transport around a workspace, the tool features a compact housing that slips easily into pockets or tool pouches, complete with a built-in pocket clip. Precision is rated at plus or minus 1/16 inch for the initial 30 feet, shifting to plus or minus 1/8 inch across longer spans up to 100 feet.
As a trade-off, precision decreases past the 30-foot mark, and the product listing does not state the battery type, runtime, or whether it includes area and volume calculation modes.
Verdict: The Klein Tools 93LDM100C is an excellent choice for anyone needing a straightforward, pocketable laser measuring tool for quick single and continuous measurements up to 100 feet.
