Detailed Review
This compact cordless band saw provides a portable cutting solution for jobs where dragging an extension cord is impractical. Powered by a 12V lithium-ion battery system, it delivers up to 570 feet per minute of blade speed to handle quick cuts in tight or overhead spots.
The tool is built around a reinforced nylon housing and weighs just 6.0 pounds, making it easy to maneuver. It measures 14.12 inches long, 8.0 inches wide, and 6.0 inches high. With a throat depth and throat width capacity of 2.5 inches, it accommodates a variety of common materials using standard 30.5625-inch band saw blades. An integrated work light is built right into the body to brighten dark work areas, while electronic speed control helps maintain consistent cutting action.
There are a few trade-offs to keep in mind with this specific configuration. It ships as a bare tool with one blade, meaning you must supply your own compatible 12-volt lithium-ion battery and charger. Additionally, the unit does not include a variable speed control, lock-on switch, or thermal overload protector.
Verdict: This portable band saw is a reliable, lightweight cutting tool backed by a 5-year manufacturer warranty. It is well suited for anyone who already owns compatible 12V batteries and needs a compact saw for materials up to 2.5 inches.
