Detailed Review
The PROHEAR 033 combines certified hearing protection with modern audio features, serving anyone operating loud equipment like lawnmowers or landscaping tools. With an NRR rating of 25dB and an SNR of 31dB, these earmuffs dampen harsh ambient noise while letting you listen to music, radio, or phone calls on the job.
Audio options are versatile. The headset uses Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless streaming and hands-free calling, controlled through an integrated multifunction button on the ear cup. For radio listeners, the digital AM/FM tuner includes an LCD display, high-sensitivity antenna, automatic station scanning, and memory slots to store 10 AM and 10 FM stations. An included 3.5mm AUX cable provides an optional wired connection to other audio players.
Comfort and build details focus on work utility. Constructed with an ABS shell and lightweight materials, the headset features an adjustable padded headband and anti-sweat ear cushions. The cushions use a snap-in design for straightforward cleaning and replacement. Power comes from an integrated 1500 mAh rechargeable lithium battery that delivers up to 30 hours of continuous playback in Bluetooth mode and recharges via a standard 5V USB source.
As with most full-coverage safety earmuffs, the physical shell is sizable, and the integrated rechargeable battery means you must remember to plug it in via USB rather than quickly swapping disposable cells on a job site. The listing also does not specify water resistance ratings for heavy rain.
Verdict: The PROHEAR 033 is a solid choice for homeowners, landscapers, and workshop users who need reliable NRR 25dB noise reduction paired with long battery life, Bluetooth 5.4, and digital radio presets.
