Wagner Spraytech Control Spray QX2 HVLP Stain Sprayer, 3 Spray Patterns

The Wagner Control Spray QX2 HVLP stain sprayer provides a faster, smoother way to apply finishes to outdoor wood surfaces. Applying coatings up to two times faster than a standard brush, it covers a 6 ft. by 8 ft. area in as little as 4 minutes without leaving behind brush marks. It is well suited for homeowners tackling small to medium tasks such as fences, decks, pergolas, lattice, and patio furniture.

Versatility comes from its adjustable settings and material compatibility. The tool is designed to spray transparent stains, semi-transparent stains, and water-based lacquers. You can adjust the material flow control to fit your coating type and switch between horizontal, vertical, and round spray patterns to match the shape of the workpiece.

Maintenance between coats or after a project is straightforward thanks to Lock-N-Go technology. The sprayer uses a minimal parts design that allows for quick disassembly, making color swaps and post-project cleanup simple to manage.

Because it is engineered for thin finishes like stains and water-based lacquers, it is not specified for thicker coatings such as solid exterior paints. The product details also do not state the exact fluid cup capacity or cord length, so plan on refilling as needed during broader outdoor work.

Verdict: The Wagner Control Spray QX2 is a practical choice for anyone looking to stain decks, fences, or outdoor furniture quickly without brush lines. It gives you good pattern control and simple cleanup for small to medium staining projects.

A great fit if you:

• Need to stain outdoor features like decks, fences, lattice, pergolas, or patio chairs.
• Want to finish wood projects up to twice as fast as brushing by hand.
• Are working with transparent stains, semi-transparent stains, or water-based lacquers.
