AMERISUN 22" Gas Walk Behind String Trimmer with 1.9"-4.0" Cutting Height

The AMERISUN 22-inch walk behind string trimmer offers heavy-duty clearing power for property owners dealing with large yards, dense weeds, and tall grass. By combining a wheeled frame with a gas-powered string head, it relieves the physical strain of carrying a standard handheld weed eater for extended outdoor jobs.

At the center of the machine is a 170cc 4-cycle OHV gas engine with forced-air cooling, built to deliver steady power through tall vegetation and light brush. A wide 22-inch cutting path allows you to cover substantial ground along trails, fence lines, and open fields in fewer passes. The trimmer head is offset, which makes it easier to track directly alongside tree bases and borders without awkward maneuvering.

Maneuverability across uneven ground comes from the oversized 14-inch rear wheels, offering higher ground clearance to push through dense patches. Users can set the cutting height between 1.9 and 4.0 inches to handle anything from standard lawn edges to high brush. When the yard work is done, the handle folds down to take up less room in a garage, shed, or transport trailer.

As a walk-behind gas unit, it requires routine small-engine upkeep, including checking oil and fuel levels. It is also inherently bulkier to steer through very narrow garden beds compared to a slender handheld trimmer. Note that the listing details do not specify the total weight of the machine or the exact line thickness it uses.

Verdict: The AMERISUN walk behind trimmer is a capable tool for homeowners maintaining large lots, rough fields, and long perimeter lines. If you need wide cutting coverage and the stability of large rolling wheels instead of carrying a shoulder-mounted trimmer, this machine is a solid choice.
