Detailed Review
This 40V MAX 13-inch cordless string trimmer and lawn edger is built for homeowners who need to manage overgrowth, thick grass, and tidy lawn edges without managing fuel or extension cords. Combining two essential yard maintenance functions into a single tool, it targets the post-mowing cleanup routine with cordless flexibility.
Cutting performance relies on a high-torque power drive transmission that directs strength straight to the line, allowing it to slice through thick grass and tough weeds cleanly. The automatic line feeding system advances the string on its own during operation, which eliminates stopping to bump the head. In addition, switching from standard string trimming to wheeled lawn edging takes only seconds.
Energy management and storage are straightforward. The included 40V MAX lithium-ion battery has a built-in state of charge indicator so you can check remaining power before starting a chore. For post-yard storage, the included charging base mounts directly to a wall, freeing up floor and shelf space in your garage or shed.
Keep in mind that the tool is built around a fixed 13-inch cutting diameter, and the listing does not specify exact runtime figures per charge or the total weight of the assembled tool. You will also want to plan for occasional line refills to keep the automatic feed system working properly.
Verdict: This cordless combo tool is well suited for property owners looking for an easy, two-in-one yard maintenance solution. It offers dependable power for overgrowth and simple edge conversions backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
