Greenworks 80V 54" MaximusZ Zero Turn Riding Lawn Mower, (2) 16.0Ah + (4) 6.0Ah Batteries and 1.5kW Fast Charger

The Greenworks 80V 54-Inch MaximusZ Zero Turn Riding Lawn Mower delivers an all-electric cutting platform built for large properties. Powered by brushless motor technology that matches the output of a 41-horsepower gasoline engine, it delivers instant torque without fuel storage, exhaust fumes, or engine maintenance.

Cutting performance centers on a commercial-grade 54-inch fabricated deck built from 10-gauge steel. Dual high-torque brushless hub motors drive the blades at a constant tip speed of 17,900 feet per minute. To handle challenging turf, integrated SmartCut technology monitors cutting resistance and automatically adapts to varying conditions, preventing the deck from bogging down in dense or wet grass. The cutting deck features 14 height adjustment positions ranging from 1.5 inches to 4.5 inches, alongside a 4-in-1 layout for mulching, bagging, rear discharge, and side discharge.

Runtime is provided by a comprehensive battery package consisting of two 16.0Ah suitcase batteries and four 6.0Ah batteries, designed to cut up to four or more acres on a single charge. Replenishing the set is handled by an included 1.5kW fast charger that minimizes downtime between mowing sessions. Operator features include an adjustable suspension seat with lumbar support and folding armrests, dual LED headlights, an LCD operational display, and onboard USB charging ports.

A mower of this size comes with clear spatial demands. Its 54-inch steel deck requires wide storage access and dedicated floor space in a garage or shed. Additionally, charging six individual battery packs requires an organized indoor station, and the product data does not clarify whether collection bags for the bagging mode are included in the crate or sold separately.

Verdict: This battery-powered zero-turn suits acreage owners who want 41-horsepower gas equivalent power without engine upkeep. Buyers with adequate storage space and up to four acres to maintain will appreciate the rugged 10-gauge deck and versatile discharge choices.

Confirm on the listing:

• Measure your garage door, shed entry, and perimeter fence gates to verify that a 54-inch wide deck can pass through easily.
• Check whether bagging chutes and collection bags are included in the package or need to be purchased separately.
• Inspect your planned indoor charging area to verify you have a suitable outlet to run the 1.5kW fast charger.
• Review the specific terms of the 4-year limited warranty regarding the batteries, charger, and mechanical components.

How to compare your options: When shopping for a zero-turn riding mower, prioritize deck material, motor power, and total battery capacity. This unit combines a heavy-duty 10-gauge steel deck with 41HP gas equivalent performance and six batteries rated for over four acres. Evaluate whether your property demands this level of heavy-duty deck construction and 4-in-1 discharge versatility compared to smaller residential alternatives.

• Set your deck height using the 14-position selector between 1.5 and 4.5 inches, choosing taller settings on heavy grass so SmartCut can optimize blade speed.
• Charge all six batteries together using the 1.5kW fast charger in a dry, covered area prior to mowing large sections of your yard.
• Set up the cutting deck for mulching, bagging, side discharge, or rear discharge according to your lawn care plan and the operator manual.
• Adjust the suspension seat, lumbar dial, and armrests to your preferred driving posture before extended mowing tasks to reduce vibration fatigue.
• Clear loose clippings and debris from around the 10-gauge steel deck and brushless hub motors after each mowing session.
