Detailed Review
The OUTDOOREDGE Flip N' Zip Saw provides a compact cutting solution for hunters and outdoors enthusiasts who need field processing tools without extra pack weight. Built around a 4.4-inch 65Mn spring-steel blade, it handles bone, wood, and tough hide with its triple-ground tooth pattern.
The handle is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and finished in anodized orange. This textured frame offers a secure hold in adverse weather, while the bright color helps you locate the tool on the ground or in low light. For safety, a reliable lock-back mechanism fixes the blade open, reducing the risk of accidental folding during tough sawing jobs.
Weighing just 2.5 ounces, this saw is exceptionally lightweight. It comes with a rugged nylon sheath and an integrated carry clip, allowing you to secure it directly to gear or keep it close at hand without adding bulk. However, with a 4.4-inch blade, its cutting depth is naturally limited to smaller branches, game bones, and processing tasks rather than large timber.
Verdict: The OUTDOOREDGE Flip N' Zip is an ideal choice for hunters looking for a featherweight, highly visible field saw to process game and clear small branches without weighing down their pack.
