Detailed Review
The Silky ZUBAT Professional Curved Hand Saw (model 270-33) is a dedicated cutting tool built for pruning, trimming, and general lawn and garden care. Designed with a curved profile and a 13-inch (330mm) blade, it helps gardeners and landscapers cut through limbs up to 6.5 inches thick without hauling heavy equipment.
The blade features a 1.5mm thickness and a large tooth setup spaced at 6.4 teeth per inch (7.5 teeth per 30mm). This tooth density targets quick branch removal, while the electroless nickel plating applied across the blade provides resistance against rust and everyday wear.
At an operating weight of just 0.65 pounds (300 grams), the tool remains easy to maneuver through dense garden growth. Even when packed in the included sheath for transport or storage, the entire package weighs only 1.1 pounds (480 grams).
As a manual hand saw, its capability is limited to the 6.5-inch cutting capacity, meaning thicker tree trunks will require larger equipment. Additionally, the aggressive 6.4 TPI large tooth configuration is designed for raw pruning speed rather than clean, delicate craft cuts.
Verdict: The Silky ZUBAT is an excellent choice for anyone needing a dependable, rust-resistant pruning saw for routine yard maintenance. It offers balanced cutting power in a lightweight build for tackling branches up to 6.5 inches.
