Skil 5080-01 13-Amp 7-1/4" Circular Saw, Red

The Skil 5080-01 is a 7-1/4-inch circular saw designed to handle everyday cutting tasks with reliable power. Driven by a 13-amp motor, it provides increased cutting capability compared to the brand's older 5380 model, making it a dependable choice for general woodworking and home projects.

Handling is made easier through a 15 percent weight reduction over the 5380 model, which helps minimize user fatigue during longer jobs. It also features a 51-degree bevel capacity equipped with positive stops for angled cuts, while an integrated dust blower directs sawdust away from your cut line so you can clearly see where the blade is tracking.

For blade maintenance, the saw includes an integrated spindle lock that simplifies blade swaps. Keep in mind that the product specifications do not list the exact angles of the positive stops or mention any included blades or accessories in the box.

Verdict: The Skil 5080-01 delivers strong cutting performance and reduced weight for anyone needing a capable, user-friendly 7-1/4-inch circular saw. It is a solid pick for DIYers and woodworkers seeking a dependable saw with integrated line-of-sight clearing.
