TaskStar 22" Hedge Trimmer Cordless with Debris Remover, 2x4.0Ah Batteries

The TaskStar 22-Inch Cordless Hedge Trimmer provides a battery-powered yard care solution for homeowners looking to maintain bushes, hedges, and shrubs without dragging power cords across the lawn. Powered by a 600W pure copper motor that reaches speeds up to 2,800 SPM, this trimmer delivers steady power to keep yard edges and dense hedges shaped neatly.

Equipped with 22-inch dual-action SK5 steel blades, the trimmer offers a 2/3-inch cutting capacity to handle standard branch thicknesses across wide hedge surfaces in single passes. A standout addition is the top-mounted debris remover, which sweeps away clipped leaves and twigs in real time to prevent clippings from piling up over the cutting line. An all-around pressure-sensitive switch allows smooth operation whether trimming vertically, overhead, or at an angle.

Weighing only 5.5 pounds, the tool is easy to maneuver for extended periods. It comes with two 20V 4.0Ah batteries that combine to deliver 100 to 120 minutes of runtime, alongside a fast charger that replenishes a pack in approximately 1.5 hours. Setup is completely tool-free, requiring only three steps: snap on the debris remover, insert a battery, and get to work. Safety is addressed through a dual safety lock, an anti-slip handle, a built-in safety guard, and a protective blade cover.

As for limitations, the 2/3-inch cutting capacity means thicker, overgrown tree limbs will require dedicated saws rather than this trimmer. The package also requires swapping between the two included batteries during extra-long trimming sessions, though the 1.5-hour fast charging helps keep downtime minimal.

Verdict: The TaskStar 22-Inch Hedge Trimmer is an excellent choice for homeowners and DIY gardeners who want a lightweight, versatile cordless trimmer with long runtime and a mess-clearing attachment for everyday yard maintenance.
