Detailed Review
The WORX WX550L 2-in-1 cordless saw combines a reciprocating saw and a jigsaw into a single handheld tool. By using a pivoting head design, it switches between both tool modes to handle diverse cutting needs without requiring two separate power tools.
Operation is built around convenience and visibility. The tool features a variable-speed trigger for managing cutting pace, while a built-in LED illuminates dark work areas. An integrated blower clears away debris to keep cut lines visible, and the tool-less blade clamp makes changing between the four included blades quick and straightforward.
A major design benefit is its light build, weighing just 4.2 lbs with the battery attached. It operates on the WORX PowerShare battery platform, which lets you use 20V batteries individually or combine them for tools that require 40V or 80V power. Note that the listing does not specify the runtime per charge or the exact materials each of the four included blades is designed to cut.
Verdict: This 2-in-1 saw is well suited for DIYers and homeowners looking for a lightweight, versatile cutting tool that covers both jigsaw and reciprocating tasks. It is especially practical if you already use or plan to build a set of PowerShare cordless tools.
