Detailed Review
The EGO POWER+ 20-inch cordless chainsaw provides high-powered woodcutting capability for property owners dealing with large branches, stumps, and tall trees. Powered by a high-efficiency brushless motor, it matches the output of a 55cc gas engine while reaching chain speeds of up to 25 m/s for clean cutting action.
Its 20-inch bar is fitted with a 3/8-inch pitch, 0.050-inch gauge full chisel chain featuring 69 drive links. Operation is monitored via an integrated digital display that lets you select speed modes while keeping an eye on battery charge status and the safety brake indicator. For low-light situations or emergency yard work, a front-facing LED work light illuminates the cutting path, backed by an IPX4 weather-resistance rating for durability.
Potential buyers should note that the recommended 6.0Ah battery is not included and must be purchased separately if you do not already own an EGO 56V ARC Lithium pack. While the tool delivers up to 135 cuts on 6x6 wood per charge with that 6.0Ah battery, actual run time will depend on the specific pack capacity you pair with it.
Verdict: This cordless chainsaw is an excellent match for homeowners and groundskeepers needing gas-level power without the fuel upkeep. If you already own or plan to invest in the compatible 56V battery platform, it delivers substantial cutting capacity for heavy yard clearing.
