Detailed Review
This cordless pole hedge trimmer tackles tall shrubs, bushes, and overhead branches without requiring an extension cord. Designed for yard maintenance on tall greenery, it combines an extended pole with an 18-inch dual-action blade that cuts through branches up to 7/16-inch thick while minimizing operating vibration.
The tool extends to an adjustable 6-1/2-foot length, giving you a working trimming reach of up to 11 feet. Its head pivots 180 degrees across five distinct positions, letting you trim flat along the tops of tall hedges or angle downward for low-growing shrubbery. Rust-proof fiberglass sections connect interlockingly to maintain a stable, secure pole structure during operation.
Weighing only 7.7 pounds, the trimmer features a soft-grip handle and a hassle-free trigger for quick starts and steady control. Power comes from an included 20V MAX lithium ion battery and smart charger, part of the interchangeable POWERCONNECT system. The battery also holds its charge for up to 18 months in storage, making it ready between seasonal yard tasks.
Keep in mind that the cutting capacity is capped at 7/16-inch thick branches, so it is not built for heavy limbs. Additionally, while the battery system is cordless and convenient, the manufacturer does not specify exact runtime minutes per charge.
Verdict: This pole trimmer is an excellent choice for homeowners looking to safely maintain tall hedges and bushes up to 11 feet high. Its lightweight frame, multi-angle head, and long-lasting battery charge make routine yard shaping straightforward and manageable.
