Dolphin Automatic Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner, Wall Climbing Scrubber Brush, Smart Navigation, Ideal for In-Ground Pools up to 40FT in Length - Nautilus CC Plus

In-ground pool maintenance often demands hours of tedious manual scrubbing, but an automatic robotic pool vacuum cleaner takes over that chore completely. The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus is built specifically for owners of in-ground pools measuring up to 40 feet in length who want reliable, hands-off care. Equipped with smart navigation, it methodically maps out your pool floor and walls rather than wandering aimlessly, ensuring thorough coverage across the entire basin.

Wall climbing is one of the standout capabilities here. The unit climbs pool walls efficiently to scrub away waterline dirt, adapting to any pool shape and any surface type. Working alongside this climbing ability is an active scrubbing brush. Unlike passive suction pads, this brush actively contacts surfaces to dislodge stubborn debris while remaining gentle on pool finishes, effectively replacing the manual pole brushing you would otherwise have to do by hand.

Day-to-day operation is remarkably straightforward thanks to a true plug-and-play design. You simply plug the power unit in, lower the cleaner into the water, and switch it on. The system runs an automated cleaning cycle that leaves your water and surfaces spotless in just two hours, allowing you to run it right before guests arrive without dedicating your afternoon to pool chores.

Maintaining the cleaner itself requires very little effort because of the top-load filter basket. Instead of flipping a heavy, dripping machine upside down to reach the filter, you open the top compartment, lift the basket out, and dump the collected debris directly into the trash or rinse it out. Because it operates independently with its own filtration, it does not rely on your existing pool pump or skimmer plumbing to capture waste.

The main trade-off stems directly from its sizing and installation design. Because it is engineered specifically for in-ground pools up to 40 feet in length, it is not suited for larger residential pools that exceed that distance, nor is it meant for above-ground setups. Additionally, the fast two-hour cleaning run means very dirty pools after heavy storms might occasionally require a second consecutive cycle to capture every bit of settled grime.

Verdict: For owners of in-ground swimming pools up to 40 feet seeking a dependable, wall-climbing automatic robotic pool vacuum cleaner, this model provides excellent coverage with minimal upkeep. If your pool is longer than 40 feet or installed above ground, you will need a cleaner tailored to those dimensions instead.

A great fit if you:

• Own an in-ground swimming pool measuring up to 40 feet long and want fully hands-off floor and wall scrubbing.
• Dislike flipping heavy equipment upside down and prefer an easily accessible top-load filter basket for debris removal.
• Want a quick two-hour automated cleaning cycle so your pool is swim-ready without waiting around all day.
• Have a pool with curved walls or unusual shapes that requires active navigation and reliable wall-climbing capability.

Consider something else if you:

• Own an above-ground pool that requires a dedicated cleaner designed for non-permanent walls.
• Have a large in-ground pool extending past 40 feet that requires a longer-reach cleaner model.
• Prefer a suction-side or pressure-side cleaner integrated directly into your existing pool pump lines.

Confirm on the listing:

• Check your pool length from end to end to confirm it stays within the 40-foot operating limit.
• Check the power cord length and the distance from your nearest outdoor electrical outlet to the edge of the pool.
• Confirm what specific filter panels or basket mesh types are included inside the top-loading compartment.
• Verify the overall unit weight to ensure you can comfortably lift it out of the water after a cycle.

How to compare your options: Focus on where the cleaner can travel, how it cleans, and how easily you can empty it. Models that scrub both walls and floors save you from manual brushing, while top-access filter baskets eliminate the hassle of bottom-loading trays. Matching the cleaner's rated pool length to your specific basin ensures the navigation system covers all surfaces within its standard two-hour cycle time.

Getting reliable service from your robotic cleaner starts with proper deployment and routine filter hygiene:

• Plug the control unit into an appropriate outdoor outlet, submerge the cleaner gently into the water, and let it sink to the floor before turning on the power.
• Empty the top-load filter basket immediately after each two-hour cleaning cycle so trapped debris does not dry out and restrict water circulation.
• Allow the machine to complete its full two-hour cycle uninterrupted to let the smart navigation cover both the floor and the walls thoroughly.
• Remove the cleaner from the pool when the cycle ends, and store it in a sheltered spot away from harsh elements as recommended by the manufacturer.
