EGO POWER+ Chain Saw, 18" Battery Powered Chainsaw, Electric Cordless, Battery and

The EGO POWER+ 18-inch cordless chainsaw provides gas-free cutting for property owners and woodcutters tackling tree maintenance and timber slicing. Powered by a 2500W high-efficiency brushless motor, it matches 50cc gas performance while pushing chain speeds up to 22 m/s. This allows you to handle substantial logs and clearing jobs without dealing with fuel mixing, pull cords, or gas emissions.

Operation centers around an integrated digital display that keeps vital tool data directly in your sightline. The screen allows you to manage cut speed settings, monitor remaining battery charge, check safety brake status, and toggle the adjustable LED work light. For physical handling, large metal bucking spikes grip the wood to give you steady leverage, while the tool-free tensioning dial lets you secure the 18-inch bar and chain without reaching for a wrench.

The cutting setup uses a 3/8-inch low profile, 0.50-inch gauge chain with 62 drive links, supported by an IPX4-rated weather-resistant housing for damp conditions. When paired with a recommended 56V 6.0Ah ARC Lithium battery, it can achieve up to 330 cuts on 4x4 lumber. The saw is compatible across the entire EGO 56V ARC Lithium battery lineup, though runtime will vary depending on the pack capacity you choose.

The primary trade-off is that this tool does not include a battery or charger in the box, requiring an existing EGO 56V setup or a separate battery purchase before you can start cutting. The 18-inch bar is also built for substantial cutting tasks, which may feel larger than necessary for minor yard pruning.

Verdict: This cordless chainsaw is an ideal match for anyone already invested in the EGO 56V battery ecosystem who needs robust cutting capacity without gas engine maintenance. It combines strong 2500W motor power, digital controls, and a generous 5-year tool warranty for reliable property upkeep.
