BLACK+DECKER String Trimmer, Electric, 14-inch (BESTE620)

This electric 14-inch string trimmer is designed for yard owners who need a direct, plug-in solution for cutting down tall grass and tidying up lawn borders. It handles basic yard cleanup without the hassle of gas mixtures or battery recharging schedules.

The cutting system centers around a 6.5 amp motor paired with a POWERDRIVE transmission, providing steady performance through dense weeds, tough grass, and general overgrowth. Managing your cutting string is straightforward thanks to the EASYFEED system, which feeds fresh line with a simple push of a button instead of traditional ground-bumping mechanisms.

For border maintenance, the tool quickly converts from a standard grass trimmer into a wheeled edger just by rotating the head. The wheeled edge guide helps direct the tool along walkways and garden beds. A lightweight frame, adjustable handle, and multiple height positions allow you to tailor the tool to your posture, while an integrated cord retention system stops power cables from disconnecting mid-job.

Because this is a corded electric model, your trimming range is limited by access to electrical outlets and suitable extension cords. The listing also does not specify the exact total tool weight or the specific diameter of replacement line needed.

Verdict: This corded trimmer is a practical choice for homeowners who want steady electric power, push-button line feeding, and a wheeled edging mode in one versatile tool. It offers dependable performance backed by a two-year limited warranty.
